We were goofing around today and Lydia sang a song for everyone!

Today we went to Down Town Los Gatos to the fountains to play with other moms and their kids from MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers).  Lucas had a blast and got soaked.  I don't know why we don't go there more often.  It was a lot of fun and Lucas could run around and get out a lot energy.  Lydia pretty much sat in the stroller and fell asleep eventually.  She is having a hard time with teething/diaper rash still.

Of course I had my camera but didn't take a single picture.  I am trying to get better about taking pictures!

I thought things were going great until we started walking to the car.  I can't tolerate it when Lucas will not stay by me when we are walking next to a busy road.  He was crawling behind benches while trying to stay on the curb next to on coming traffic.  I tell him nicely that he needs to stay by me or get on the stroller.  Well, to make a long story short I ended up carrying a crying/screaming 3 year old a couple of blocks to the car (next time I need to park closer).

Today was pretty challenging with the both of them.   Lydia was pretty uncomfortable all day long.  I think she will be getting her first tooth soon.  Lucas got his around this time.  It was really hard for me to see her like that because she is so happy usually. It just broke my heart that I couldn't do anything for her.

Lydia is now rolling ever where.  She is getting into everything with in reaching distance.  She finally mastered going from her tummy to her back.   She also enjoys watching Lucas play.  Sometimes he will do something that will make her giggle.  When she does that Lucas will try really hard to get her to laugh again.  It is the sweetest thing.

Today Lucas and Lydia were laying on Lucas' bed and Lucas told me to go away.  I went out the door and stood there so I could see what he was doing.  She didn't have anything on but a diaper and so he continued to blow on her belly.  I made sure I got it on video.

Lucas is starting to get the idea of going on the potty and I have my fingers crossed that this will be it.  I'm hoping that since his friends are potty training, he will think that he should too.

Lydia has found her feet.  She hasn't put them in her mouth yet.  She is right on track with Lucas.  She still isn't rolling over but she tries really hard.  I think she can't get over her arm and hasn't figured out how to move it. (Sorry about the lack of pictures, I'll get some up soon!)

Lydia is drooling a lot now and putting everything into her mouth.  We wonder if maybe she will be getting a tooth soon.  Lucas was 4 1/2 months when he got his first tooth.  Maybe Lydia will be earlier!  She is also sucking her fingers.  So far she had been consistently sucking her pointer and middle finger on her right hand.

Lucas is almost three and I can't believe how fast this has come.  Today he crawled up in my lap again and fell asleep.  I keep wondering when the last time that will happen.  I held him longer today just enjoying his sweet slumber.  His memory is amazing and I can't get away with hardly anything anymore.  I have to be really careful what I say because if he hears me even mention one little thing he wants, I have to follow through!

Life has been pretty crazy for us.  Lucas and Lydia seem to take up so much of our time!  We really are enjoying our little blessings.

Lydia is cooing and smiling so much.  Today I was tickling her and she let out this cute little laugh.  It sounded so natural and reminded me of her honest actions .  No fake laughing or smiling.  Just what God created and gave to her.   She is also pulling her knees up and scooting a little.  She rolled over once on March 15th but has not done it since.  I know that I will find her on her back after glancing away for just a moment!

Lucas is getting to be such a big boy.  It is amazing that having another child will age the first one so much.  He is such a joy to mommy during the day (we do have our moments though).  I marvel at all the knowledge he has and how fast he is growing.  Just today I asked him where something was and he explained to me where it was.  It hit me that he is not a little baby anymore!  Where did the time go?  He is going to be three in a month almost!

Hope this finds everyone well!
