18 weeks

I don't know how many people look at our blog but thought that it was time for an update.  We are doing very well out here in San Jose.  We moved into a nice duplex in a great neighborhood right down the street from our church.  It has a nice back yard for Lucas to run around in and we put a pool in for those really hot days.  It is much roomier than our last home and enjoy a little more freedom here.

Lucas is still busy with Gymboree and we recently tried out the art class.  It turned out to be a real hit with him.  He was losing interest in the other class so I thought it might be time for a change.  His favorite part was being able to use the glue.  He smeared glue all over the paper but really didn't glue a whole lot to the paper so mommy has to help him a little.  

We also took some swim lessons at the beginning of the summer and have been going to the YMCA once a week to work on the lessons in the pool.  He has a lot of fun in the pool but still wants mommy or daddy to hold him.  He is getting braver and will get into the pool himself.   He loves putting a floaty on and will float around himself.  It is very cute to watch him kick his little legs as fast as he can to move around the pool.

Tomorrow is the big day.  We will hopefully find out if we are having a boy or girl.  We have been waiting to see the baby and after a cancelled ultrasound last week, we are hoping that tomorrow comes soon!

Daniel and I are doing very well.  The summer has been really nice and Daniel is enjoying his work.  He has now started biking to work which is only 3 miles away.  He enjoys that very much.  On the days that he does bike Lucas and I will sit outside in the drive way and wait for him to come home in the evening.  We have done that every day that he has biked so far and for the first time today we weren't home.  Daniel told me that he was a little sad to not see us out there.  

I am just staying home and keeping the little guy busy.  I can't imagine what it would be like to be away from him during the day.  I am so thankful that I can stay home with him and just see all the changes he makes every day.  

Well, for now this is it.  It would be nice to get some comments for some of Lucas' fans.  We like to know what is going on in everyones life and would love to hear from you all!
