Baby Lucas

Just wanted to put a few random pictures up. They are very cute!

We thought he was a baby but apperantly he is a little puppy. Thats what happens when both your hands are being used for crawling :-).

Lucas went on his first bike ride! Mommy pulled him on her bike and daddy stayed behind us to make sure Lucas was safe. That was quite the work out!

Lucas in his play yard. Boy does it keep him out of trouble! Thank you Nana Bev!

We went to Lompoc Feb. 16-22. We had a lot of fun. Thank you Auntie Becky for letting us stay in your room! Thank you Grammy and Poppa for letting us stay with you for all that time. We had a lot of fun.

Well, It has been a long while since we have posted a blog. I hope that I am able to catch up on everything that has happen recently.

Since learning how to scoot, Lucas has started crawling on hands and knees. He is also crusing around on the furniture. It is very hard to keep up with him sometimes. We really need to get in gear and child-proof this place.

Today at Gymboree I think Lucas was excited about the big space he was able to crawl in. I haven't see him move that fast before. We need to make sure that he is able to stretch his legs to make sure his muscles develope properly.

He is also able to sit up on his own. I am hoping that he will learn to get back down after he stands up against the furniture. All he knows it to fall and that never gets a pleasant reaction from him.

We are still in our little swim class. Lucas loves the water and has recently gone under. He did very well and didn't swallow hardly and water. I don't have any pictures of that yet. We will have to get daddy to come to one of his classes to take some.

One night Lucas was grabbing at his ear and was very fussy so the next day we took him to the doctors and learned that he had a mild ear infection in both ears. Of course that meant that we would have to give him medicine for the next ten days. It has been 7 so far and it has been very hard. This morning I had to swaddle him up so he couldn't bat the dropper away from his mouth. It is very hard giving a baby medicine and you cometimes have to be really creative in how you give it to them. Usually it will only work one time because they catch on to what you are trying to do! Pray that when we take him for a follow up that the infection is gone!

Now that Lucas has eight teeth we are giving him more table food. He loves to feed himself and eats more if we let him. For a while it was a battle to get him to eat the baby food. Now we just give it to him if we are away from home. It is better this way.

We hope this finds everyone doing very well. I hope that we are able to keep this up-to-date since he is growing so fast!

I'm sorry for all the mistakes I made in grammer and punctuation! I'm too tired to check them right now. I hope that what I wrote made sense.
